HEALTH AND SENSITIVE INFORMATIONAllerguide allows users to store and organize allergy-related information. Health information is treated as sensitive information and is used only to provide the user-facing features of the Services, maintain the user’s account, provide requested support, protect the Services, or comply with applicable law.Users control what allergy and health information they choose to enter or upload.Allerguide is not intended to replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Users should consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice.4. AI-ASSISTED LAB REPORT AND JOURNAL AUTOFILLAllerguide offers an optional AI-assisted feature that can analyze a laboratory report or similar file to help prefill information in a journal entry.When you choose to use this feature:- The file you select, and information contained in that file, is transmitted to Anthropic, a third-party artificial intelligence service provider.
- The information is shared for the purpose of analyzing the selected document and generating information used to help prefill the journal entry.
- The feature is optional. You can create and edit journal entries without using the AI-assisted feature.
- We do not share these files with Anthropic for advertising.Before personal information is transmitted to a third-party AI provider, Allerguide asks for the user’s permission through an in-app disclosure. If permission is not provided, the selected information is not transmitted to the AI provider.Users should review AI-generated or AI-extracted information for accuracy before relying on or saving it.Anthropic processes information according to the applicable agreements governing our use of its services and its own privacy and security obligations.5. THIRD-PARTY SERVICE PROVIDERSWe use third-party providers to operate parts of the Services. Depending on the feature you use, information may be processed by providers including:- Anthropic: AI-assisted document and text analysis
- Google Cloud Platform: cloud infrastructure and related services
- Cloud Firestore: application data storage
- Firebase Authentication: account authentication
- Firebase Storage: file storage
- Google Cloud Translation API: translation functionality

GOOGLE AND APPLE SIGN-INIf you choose Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple, we receive the limited information made available by the provider that is needed to create or authenticate your Allerguide account.We do not receive your Google or Apple account password.Our use of information received from Google APIs is subject to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.7. AGE REQUIREMENT AND CHILDREN’S PRIVACYAllerguide accounts are intended for people age 13 and older.Every person attempting to create an account is asked to provide a date of birth. If the date of birth indicates that the person is under 13, account creation is not permitted.A child under 13 should not create or use an Allerguide account. A parent or legal guardian may instead use the parent’s or guardian’s own account to organize allergy information on behalf of a child.If a parent or guardian enters information about a child, the parent or guardian is responsible for ensuring that they are authorized to provide that information.If we learn that an account was created directly by a child under 13 contrary to these requirements, we may delete the account and associated information.A parent or guardian who believes a child under 13 has provided personal information directly to Allerguide may contact [email protected].8. COMMUNITY AND FORUM INFORMATIONInformation that you choose to post in a forum or other public or community area can be seen by other users.Do not post laboratory reports, medical records, contact information, or other sensitive information publicly unless you intend for other users to see it.Allerguide may use moderation tools and processes to enforce its community rules, investigate reports, protect users, and remove content that violates applicable rules or law.9. DATA RETENTIONWe retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain an active account, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our agreements.When an account is deleted, we delete or de-identify information associated with the account unless retention is required or permitted for legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes.Some information may remain temporarily in secure backups until those backups are overwritten or deleted through our normal retention cycle.Where information has been processed by a service provider on our behalf, we take reasonable steps to require deletion or handling consistent with the deletion request and applicable law.10. Delete Your Allerguide AccountYou can delete your Allerguide account and associated personal information at any time.In the app:
Open Allerguide → Profile → Scroll down to bottom → Delete Account.If you no longer have access to the app:
Email [email protected] from the email address associated with your account and request account deletion.When your account is deleted, we will delete or de-identify the personal information associated with your account, except for limited information we may need to retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, or compliance purposes.We may take reasonable steps to verify your identity before completing a deletion request.
